Materials for a Present Drawing

  • Eraser. Big ones you lot can hold in your mitt practice a much better job than but the pencil tips.
  • Black Sharpie Marker. These fine point permanent mark pens brand nice black outlines, have a good tip for coloring, and never bleed when they get wet. Use them with good ventilation and add extra paper underneath to protect your tables.
  • Prang Crayons. These are a chip softer than other crayons so they sometimes look similar oil pastels. They also take a some nice brown shades that Crayola does not accept unless you buy their larger boxes.
  • Crayola Crayons. The reliable make that always works well. The 24 pack has some of my favorite gilt orangish and xanthous colors that seem a bit richer and warmer than the ones Prang has.

  1. Draw a rectangle box lid.

  2. Add the box below.

  3. Draw the ribbon.

  4. Draw the ribbon knot.

  5. Add two loops of the bow.

  6. Draw two more loops behind.

  7. Add together the ribbon ends.

  8. End with the tabular array line.

  9. Trace with marker and color.
